Enjoyed his leisure,
And condoned the crimes of the outbreak.

People succumbed to it,
And bodies piled on top of each other.
He watched as people grieved,
The world around him was losing.
Chaos took the world hostage.
Despair, anguish,
Spread like wildfire.
Soon, he registered the scope of reality
Which befell him.

Forced into the crevices
Of his four walls,
His mind pondered:
Would it ever be the same?
School?! Friends?!
Movies?! Beaches?!
Sports?! Graduation?!

That which used to be sunny,
Which used to be joyus,
Which used to be relaxing,
Turned into something dull,
Something uneventful,
Something lifeless.
